CA Vision, Mission, Strategic Goals and Objectives

ALBERT LAURENCE SCHOOL OF COMMUNICATION ARTS envision itself as:

ALBERT LAURENCE SCHOOL OF COMMUNICATION ARTS envisions its graduates as:

- flexible to changes in the communication industry

CA Mission:

Albert Laurence School of Communication Arts serves the nation and community through the application of communication with emphasis on ethical principles to create a better society through information.

CA Strategic Goals and Objectives:

The school revised the goals and strategic objectives in March 2012 to better align with those of the university’s six strategic themes. The revised goals and strategic objectives are to be implemented in the academic year 2012.

CA Strategic Goals and Objectives No.5:

5. The School’s research and creative works meet local and international standards
5.1 The School increases the number of research and creative works
5.1.1 Train lecturers to do research or creative works that meet the academic standard
5.1.2 Provide lecturers with sufficient research resources
5.1.3 Encourage faculty members to conduct research and/or produce creative works
5.2 The School’s faculty members publish or present papers/creative works in national and international conferences or exhibitions

5.2.1 Give incentives to or recognize faculty members who publish or present papers/creative works in the conferences or exhibitions

5.2.2 Provide opportunities for lecturers to participate in research­related or creative work­related activities

(e.g., conferences, seminars, and exhibitions)

The Dean of Albert Laurence School of Communication Arts, empowered by the University, appoints the following persons to the Research Committee for the Academic Year 2013. This appointment is effective from June 1, 2013 and tenable until July 31, 2014

CA Research Committee Vision, Mission, Roles, and Responsibilities for Academic Year 2013

Vision:
The Research Committee envisions itself as a supportive unit for research and creative works within the Albert Laurence School of Communication Arts.

Mission:

The Research Committee mission are
- to serve as a supportive unit for the production of research and creative works.
- to serve as a supportive unit for the management of knowledge from research and creative works.
- to serve as a supportive unit for the funding of research and creative works.
- to serve as a supportive unit for the support of publications and disseminations of research and creative works.
- to serve as a supportive unit for the utilization of research and creative works.

Roles and Responsibilities:

According to CA Work Order No.11/2013 the following functions must be accomplished by the committee:

1. Giving directions and formulating research policies
2. Guiding and supporting new researchers including writing academic works, publication of papers and Paper presentation
